Surveys and information gathering
In order to support effective conservation, the accurate and valid information are vital. Along with partners, we conduct various surveys to observe directly the condition of Indonesia most threatened trees. Besides, various information gathering is used as from workshops and thmeatic discussions, literature study, expert review, dissemination, up to numerous field informations.
Thematic discussion and workshop
To formulate the accurate conservation programs, various thematic discussions and workshops is held along with related experts, researchers, practitioner, conservationist, communities, and also governmenet and management authorithy.
About FPLI
By 2014, the serious concerned comes from experts, observers, and conservationists upon the careless situation of the threaten trees of Indonesia, of which experienced declining population and habitat. Those sort of above communities meet and discussed about collaborative steps in order to conserve and safe the population of the most threatened trees of Indonesia, as well as encourage its sustainable uses. The discussion groups then are developed into a national networking namely as Indonesian Threatened Trees Forum (FPLI) on March 2016.
The FPLI consists of experts, researchers and obersevrs of threatened trees from various background such as goevernment, university, private, community and other professionals. In 2017, FPLI has legally established and launch the first comprehensive design of strategy and action plan of conservation for Rare and thretened trees in Indonesia. This strategic conservation planning are designed, but not limited to, the 12 most priority secies for conservation in Indonesia. Since then, various further derivatives planning were developed and implementation were initiated.
